Donavan Dailey

Guitarist Donavan Dailey is an innovative classical/jazz guitarist, composer, arranger and teacher. He has carved out an interesting niche for a nylon string guitarist.

As a classical guitarist, Donavan holds a degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Middle Tennessee State University. He has studied under Dr. William Yelverton and Roger Hudson and has performed in master classes with  Anna Vidivich, William Kanengaiser and Jason Viuex.

As a Jazz Guitarist Donavan performs with his Jazz trio regularly, bringing together a worldly mix of french gypsy swing, latin Jazz and roaring twenties swing tunes.

Donavan's studies in composition have brought forth many original pieces for solo guitar inspired by travel, culture, and world music.  Over recent years he has pursued his passion for teaching by starting Telluride Music School. Donavan can be found teaching and performing regularly in the Telluride, Colorado area.

Anneke Dean

Violinist Anneke Dean started playing the violin at the age of 8 where she grew up in Denver, Colorado. From 6th-12th grade, she studied at Denver School of the Arts under the tutelage of the Moscow String Quartet’s first violinist, Eugenia Alikhanova. She holds a bachelor’s degree in violin performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts where she studied with Almita Vamos, MingHuan Xu, and Frank Almond.

Anneke was exclusively playing classical music for the majority of her career until the last two years of her undergraduate. While in Chicago, she started exploring other genres including jazz and mariachi. At that point, she continued broadening her genres and taking any opportunity to play with musicians she can. Since moving to Telluride in 2018, she has worked with numerous local musicians in the area exploring country, bluegrass, jazz, blues, improvisation, classical, and more.

Anneke has a passion for performing and hopes to expand her opportunities for performing and teaching in the area. Donavan played a large role in paving the way for Anneke to make a career out of music in Telluride, and together, they can be found performing throughout the Western Slope.
